Art Exhibit Brings Hope to Community Touched by Cancer

HAMILTON, NJ - A national touring art exhibit was recently on display at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton (CINJ Hamilton). "Lilly Oncology On Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey" was brought to Hamilton to honor the journey of people whose lives have been affected by cancer.

On display through November 22, the exhibit is a result of an annual juried competition which invites people from all over the world to put their feelings about cancer on canvas and in narrative. People diagnosed with any type of cancer, their families and friends, cancer advocates and healthcare providers submit art.

"The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton is a place where hope lives and this exhibit reflects that very purpose," says Lisa Breza, executive director of the cancer center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. "Creativity reflects the mind—each piece conveys emotions and provides hope and inspiration to others."

CINJ Hamilton is located at 2575 Klockner Road.
