RWJ Hamilton Teams Up With Hamilton Township Mayor Glen Gilmore to Help Soldiers Serving Abroad

HAMILTON, NEW JERSEY – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton and the Hamilton Township teamed up to collect much needed personal items that will be shipped to Hamilton residents serving abroad.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton employees and local residents donated hundreds of items for care packages that will be sent to local residents serving overseas. Ellen Guarnieri, RWJ Hamilton President and CEO presents the donation to Hamilton Township Mayor Glen D. Gilmore in the hospital's main lobby.

Ellen Guarnieri, President and CEO of RWJ Hamilton presented Mayor Glen D. Gilmore with the items the hospital collected. Everything collected will be made into care packages and sent to area residents serving overseas.

Mayor Glen D. Gilmore organized the collection after local families requested assistance in collecting care package items for their children serving in the military. The mayor asked for the entire community's help. Local residents were asked to donate everyday items, such as sunblock, lip balm and tissues. RWJ Hamilton offered the hospital's main lobby as a drop off point and hospital employees and area residents generously responded.
