Every physician who applies for privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton must undergo a rigorous application and review process. During this examination period, the applicant's credentials are first scrutinized by the Section Chief and Department Chairman of the specialty involved. The next step is a careful review by the Medical Staff Credentials Committee and the Medical Staff Executive Committee. And upon recommendation of the Medical Staff, Executive Committee, the applicant is granted privileges by the Board of Trustees.

Every 2 years, all members of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton Medical Staff are subject to a recredentialing process with Continuing Medical Education.
