Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton

Situated on a sprawling suburban setting is the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUHH) 67-acre campus located in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. RWJUHH provides comprehensive acute care and outpatient services through a unique blend of technology and human achievement. RWJUHH has over 1,750 employees and over 600 physicians on the medical staff, representing more than 30 medical specialties.

As Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton continues to meet the demands of a growing community, it remains focused on its Mission, to provide "Excellence through Service," and its Vision "to passionately pursue the health and well-being of its patients, employees and the community through a culture of exceptional service and commitment to quality."

RWJ Hamilton has experienced exceptional growth in each of the past five years. Inpatient volume grew 9% in 2003. Employee and patient satisfaction scores, as measured by Press Ganey Inc., are consistently above the 90th percentile as compared with over 700 hospitals nationwide.

Quality service is the hallmark of the hospital's success. This success has enabled RWJ Hamilton to excel and achieve many prestigious awards including the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for 2004. The Baldrige Award is the top honor a U.S. organization can receive for quality management and quality achievement and raises awareness about the importance of performance excellence as a competitive edge. RWJ Hamilton is the first hospital to receive the award in the state of New Jersey and the only health care recipient for 2004. The hospital joins a group of only three other health care organizations who have ever received the award.

In 2003, RWJ Hamilton was the proud recipient of; the "Corporate Award for Nursing Excellence," presented by the New Jersey League for Nursing; the "Employer of the Year" award, presented by the Mercer County Workforce Investment Board; and the "Employer of Choice" award, presented by the Garden State Council for the Society for Human Resource Management.

Additionally, the RWJ Health Network, a Central New Jersey alliance of 13 hospitals, including RWJ Hamilton, was awarded the prestigious "New Jersey Governor's Bronze Award for Performance Excellence" by Quality New Jersey.

In the Fall of 2004 the hospital opened the RWJ Hamilton Center for Health & Wellness-a medically-based fitness facility providing the newest model of care for health and wellness.
