RWJ Hamilton President & CEO Ellen Guarnieri Honored by Executive Women of New Jersey

HAMILTON, NEW JERSEY - Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ) honored President and CEO Ellen Guarnieri of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton at its "Salute to the Policy Makers" awards dinner, an biennial event recognizing women of professional distinction for their professional achievements as members of boards of directors or as senior executives at major organizations in New Jersey.

Ms. Guarnieri leads a corporation that is comprised of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton, The RWJ Hamilton Foundation, Lakeview Child Centers, and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Services Organization. A Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and Certified Professional in Health Care Quality, Guarnieri was previously named the Burlington County Woman of the Year and serves on the Burlington County Advisory Council on Women. She is a member of the board of directors of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, Burlington County Chamber of Commerce and the Health Research and Education Trust of New Jersey.
"Over the course of the last two decades, the Salute to the Policy Makers Awards Dinner has evolved into a 'Hall of Fame' of sorts for accomplished women throughout the Garden State and we are pleased to honor Ellen Guarnieri this year," noted EWNJ President-Elect Mary S. Hartman, Ph.D., director of the Institute for Women's Leadership at Rutgers University.
Proceeds from the event will fund EWNJ's scholarship program, which has provided over $875,000 in scholarships to more than 275 deserving New Jersey women enrolled in advanced degree programs at New Jersey institutions since instituting the program in 1986. PSEG Chairman of the Board, President and CEO Ralph Izzo served as the event's honorary chair.
